Bio:

Derrick has a long history, though it is one heard before.  Out of highschool the young man signed up in the Marine Corps.  During the six years in the Corps Derrick exceled in tactical planning and missing execution.  The last two year he was apart of Black Ops where the missions are still classified to this date.  Upon returning to the States, Derrick then proceeded to join the local police department and quickly rose to Inspector.

 

During his time as an Inspector in California he met with a powerful man by the name of Valek.  While the man was a known criminal, he was also a man of honor.  A time of crime had spread rampant over the city, and Valek was looking to put things right and to do so... he needed an officer of the law as an ally.  Eventually persuading Derrick to join in him in his endeavor.

 

Several years passed and peace was ushered into San Fransisco.  It is no secret that Valek De'vir had consolidated power and taken over the reigon, but he ruled absolutely.  With Derrick at the head of a new task force, they utterly removed random acts of violence, and dropped crime to the single digits.  When the Family's needs shifted, Derrick too was shifted to New Orleans.  There the task force was remade, and the conquest of the De'vir Family continued, until an unexpected element entered the fray.

 

Derrick no longer wished to be apart of the Force, or be the Family's man.  Leaving both he resettled in Miami... but one does not simply leave the Family.  When Valek passed, the mantle fell to his children and they were not so quick to allow Derrick to simply walk away.  While giving him a pass for now, he is still on call... His ties continue to grow in Miami, however.  And so the story continues.
